Biography

I am a veteran of the US Army Signal Corps. I spent in Germany, Bosnia, Japan (Okinawa) and Augusta, Ga. I am married to Teresa Pasternacki a beautiful woman. I have a daughter 5 yrs old named Natalie.
I grew up in Oak Park, MI. I served in the US Army Signal Corps 8 years during the 1st Gulf War and Bosnia/Croatia. I was discharged under Honorably conditions  in 1996. A have been awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and other numberous military awards. I am a Journeyman in Electronics for Communications via the US Army and Department of Labor. I am a current member of The VFW post localy. I currently have been working in the Telecommunications industry for 20 years.  
Within my first Hobby of Amateur Radio I was first licensed in 1999 for a FCC license as Amateur Radio callsign KC8MPQ. since then I have upgraded and hold a General Class FCC license for Amateur Radio license. In 2001 I then changed my call sign through the vanity system to K8KHZ. I am involved with several activities within amateur radio. I am an ARRL National Traffic Service (NTS) official Relay Station. I served as the Program Director for The South Eastern Michigan DX Association 2006/2007 and the President in 2008 and Director in 2009/2010. I have achieved ARRL DXCC (Total 172) . I Also am a contester and belong to the Mad River Radio Club. I sometimes am an operator at super station K8CC. I am appointed as VUCC and WAS award manager by he Hazel Park Amateur Radio Club (HPARC). I was secretary for the Hazel Park radio Club for 2007-2008 and I have served as the swap chairman for 2005, 2006, 2007.  I was the 2007 Amateur of the Year for HPARC . I am also a member of Oakland County   ARRL ARES and Oakland County Homeland Security RACES.  I volunteer as a Auxilary Deputy for Southfield Michigan Emergency Management and am a Parking Enforcement Officer. .I am the owner/founder of a 500 member amateur radio yahoo group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mobileamateurradio. My station is a Yeasu 1000MP MARK-V. I have 3 antennas. G5RV, A-99 Veritcal, and a Tri Band 3el Mosely Yagi. I am mostly a SSB operator. I am from an entire amateur radio family. Mother N8FE, Father K8UP, Brother is KC8CAM/VK4TJF.
With the other time in my life I have been following ID theft Surveys and statistics since 2003. I have studied various ID theft subjects. I currently am taking a certifications for ID Theft and Privacy. I have completed courses in A+ Network + and CCNA. I also am learning the Keyboards & Bass Guitar.
